MIXING

Mixing is an absolutely crucial element of the production process, it requires an immensely detailed volume of work.

This demands an Engineer to possess a high level of technical skill along with an exquisite musical ear.

Having great experience and knowledge of working in the industry myself, combined with my audio production skills,

I'm fully confident working across the board on any genre of music.

LISTENING

After receiving your track(s) and brief,

I will listen deeply to your music to identify the feel of the song and direction in which to take the mix.

LEVELS

I will proceed to perform a pre-mix of the track, balancing the levels of the instruments and adjusting the stereo width using panning.

This will be the foundation of the full mix.

MIX

The main mix of the track will implement EQ & Compression.

I'll alter the frequencies either cutting harsh bits or boosting elements that need prominence as well as compressing tracks to control the individual level.

EFFECTS

In line with the brief, I will apply any necessary effects to certain tracks such as Reverb, Delay, De-Esser and other variables.

I will finish the mix by checking the levels and adjusting where needed with automation.

QUALITY CHECK

Once the full mix is complete, I will conduct a professional quality check of the song across a variety of audio outputs including, earphones, small speaker systems,
a mobile phone, as well as at radio quality.

This is to ensure the standard of the track

is equal across all platforms.

All mixes will be saved in a high-quality stereo .wav format.

Completed tracks will be bounced down to your specified Bit Rate & Sample Rates.

I guarantee the delivery of professional and release-quality production.

MASTERING

Mastering is commonly viewed as a simplified motion to "make it louder" and it's often overlooked as

a critical component of the engineering process but this is generally very misleading.

The process consists of a detailed analysis of a track, with the aim to construct a larger & clearer sounding production.

The Mastering service provides a full track master of which all files will be bounced at

the highest quality MP3 320kps, unless otherwise specified.

All sessions are carried out with the same professional industry-standard music production software

that I use for mixing, along with the same award-winning service, care and attention.

A majority of the Artists and Bands that I've worked with have been emerging musicians

and true independents within the industry, as well as self-funded.

Recording & Producing

RECORDING & PRODUCING

With years of experience in & out of the studio writing and creating music across various genres,

I'm offering my studio knowledge and producing abilities as a service to get your music recorded and produced.

Below are 3 universal options that allow you to make the perfect decision depending on the current stage of your project.

RECORDING

A booked session in a recording studio with a personal recording engineer/producer, solely to record your music and guide you.

Using my invaluable production knowledge when needed, to give constructive insight that will breed

improvement in your process and work.

As Producer, I'm not there to manage you or disrupt the creative atmosphere. I will become part of your team and give professional friendly advice throughout the development of your project.

COMPOSING

An option to either book a live session in-person with me at a recording studio OR I can work from my home studio, if preferred or if you are outside of the UK.

If in the studio, we will work together with the aim of producing new original material for you or your band. With your vision and guidance, I'll compose the structure of a song, playing melodies, chords and writing patterns.

If an online project has been discussed then a detailed consultation will take place regarding the style of song you're wishing to create, along with composition notes.

I'll work alone, producing your music on a

track-by-track basis.

SONGWRITING

This is a pure songwriting service.

Much like the Composing option, there's

a choice of a studio session or I can work alone from my home studio.

The intent is to find the meaning behind the music, going deep into the nature of the words.

With your vision in mind, I'd write lyrics that will reveal the true notion of your music and ultimately resulting in a fully formed song.

Each studio session is booked an hour at a time unless a full-day session has been booked.

Tracks that I produce remotely will be done so at an hourly rate.

Sessions can be booked for as long as needed* - Up to a full day (8 hours)

*Minimum of 1 Hour.

I possess film industry level knowledge with a range of sound design techniques and post-production skills

acquired through work on independent U.S films, Trailers and Audiobooks.

MIXING & MASTERING

Once I have reviewed your footage and written a detailed timecode sheet, I will begin the recording process using professional recording equipment and a technique that is known as Foley.

This is the creation of sounds using everyday objects, recording them and applying them to precise moments of the footage.

I will access my personal sound design library.

This is filled with substantial sets of unique sound effects that are either originally created by myself or are unused sounds that have been sourced from film projects that I've worked on.

I will never reuse pivotal sounds from another project and will always create brand new original and fresh audio, no matter the size.

All sound design projects that I take on will be completely mixed and mastered professionally to the highest industry standard.

I can export the final master for any platform, whether it be a simple video for social media, large-scale film project or an audiobook.

I will ensure it adheres to the needs of your projects final output and distribution.

CD Mastering/Duplication & Online Distribution

FULL CD MASTERING

A Full CD Master is separate from the mastering used for an individual track.

This option is employed post mixing/mastering and includes:

DDP (Disc Description Protocol), ISRC Coding and ID3 Track Tagging.

The focus of this process is DDP Mastering which involves layering the tracks in a single file

so that they all flow together, as is often employed on an album.

The most efficient procedure when dealing with CD Mastering is for me to receive each track file individually,

along with song information i.e. Song Title, Artist and name of Writer/Composer as well as any detailed editing requests.

Once completed, you'll receive a single mastered DDP file for CD production and duplication,

as well as each individual track fully ID3 Tagged with song info and ISRC Codes for distribution.

This service will include 1 FREE copy of your Mastered CD.
